  1. README for GLOSS.WCM and GLOSSADD.WCM

  3. GLOSS.WCM is a WordPerfect for Windows macro that can expand a
  4. word or abbreviation at the cursor into a longer form you
  5. define.
  6.  
  7. Unlike the GLOSSARY.WCM that is shipped with WPWin, which
  8. requires complex and careful editing of the macro itself every
  9. time a word is to be added to the glossary, and which is quite
  10. slow, GLOSS.WCM and its companion macro GLOSSADD.WCM make
  11. adding items to the glossary easy, and work quickly.
  12.  
  13. To install these macros, just put them in your WPWin macros
  14. directory.  To try them out, you'll first have to add some
  15. words to the glossary.  Chose Macro and then Play from the
  16. menus, and pick GLOSSADD.WCM from the list.  Run it a few times
  17. to add a few abbreviations and expansions to the glossary.

  19. Then start a new document, and type one of the abbreviations
  20. you entered.  Leve the cursor immediately after it, and run
  21. GLOSS.WCM.  You should see the abbreviation be replaced by the
  22. expanded form you entered.

  24. For easier use, rename GLOSS.WCM to CTRLG.WCM (which will cause
  25. it to be run whenever you press Control-G), or put it on your
  26. Button Bar, or add it to your Macros menu, or all three.
  27. GLOSSADD.WCM is also a good candidate for being added to your
  28. button bar, Macros menu, or both.

  30. Note: these macros will not work with versions of WPWin prior
  31. to the April 1992 interim release.
